photoblog image Tamilore

Tamilore

My precious niece, Tamilore. This picture was taken when she was just 4 days old. She was just recvoering from an infection and had just woken up (though she was still a bit groggy), but there we all were excited and trying to get a picture of her in her cot with her eyes open. Luckily, i had my brother-in-law's camera phone with me just as she turned to have a look and snap!

I particularly like this picture of my favourite (er.. and only) niece because there's a look in her eyes that shows some personality (even at that early stage of her life). Whether it'll come through when she gets older... i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

With a camera phone ! Incredible result !
About the picture : The blurring give a very sweet picture of Tamilore, something very quiet and secure. The expression is nice and i must say that (unless your commentary) i'd never bet for 4 days old, there something in the expression wich is much older.
A cute one really !. Hope to see her again on shutterchance !
Have a nice week ! smile
Morenike Olagbaju: Thanks for stopping by!

About looking older than 4 days - i know what you mean. Her features were quite developed for newborn baby -probably because she was 2 weeks overdue. I'm glad you like the picture. I'll be sure to put up some updated photos of her. She's almost six months now so you probably wouldn't recognise her as she looks quite different but no less beautiful. Do stop by again.

This is such a lovely picture. really effective. I was trying to work out what pp had been done to get the picture looking like this, then read your words.. Maybe I'll have to experiment taking shots with my rubbish camera phone too! Nice one.
Morenike Olagbaju: Thanks, Andy! I decided to go for it when Mr. Skee posted some pics from his camera phone on his blog last week. Plus, i'm hoping my camera phone'll help me develop some skills (to some extent) before i get a good camera. So if i were you, i'll experiment away... you'd be surprised what a rubbish camera phone can do in the right person's hands.

very good work. happy dat u decided to take your interest in photography to the next level. i agree with the comments about her very expressive eyes. im sure she'll be a quite a looker when she's older. its amazing wat a camera phone in the hands of the right person can do. well done.

i was goin to say that as ur aburo, i shud b allowed to disregard the moods u display, and post whatever comment i want... but i also remembered dat ur my oga. so i'll behave!!!
Morenike Olagbaju: DG, you know you can say whateva you like (mood permitting, of course. There're no ogas ("egbons" or "aburos") on shutterchance!

mmm nice shot. There's a "Hallowed" look to the picture that i think is as a result of the 'fuzzyness' that seems to graduate from the face to four corners of the pic. Again (i should add) you pick your angle quite professionally...very judicious use of space. I like I like!

I dont think you should throw the camera fone away just yet...i'm liking the effect...
